Galleria degli Uffizi
The most internationally renowned art museum, the Uffizi Gallery is one of the most important museums in the world. It houses some of the finest works of art by Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli, Caravaggio, Raphael, Titian, Giotto, Paolo Uccello... as well as masterpieces of European painting, particularly German, Dutch and Flemish. No less important is the collection of ancient statuary and busts of the Medici family that embellishes the corridors of the Gallery and includes ancient Roman sculptures and some copies of Greek originals that have been lost. The Gallery occupies the entire first and second floor of a large building located a few steps from the Palazzo Vecchio
